Creative Writing Story...Any ideas for a name?

This is a short story I am coming up with as I go. =) I am in a writing mood and want to see what I can come up with.

Tesla was a short teenager, at the age of 15. She only stood 5'1. Her long brown hair really brought out the tone of her hazel eyes. Her teeth were as white as snow and almost seemed to glisten when the sun caught them, almost like a set of perfect little pearls in her mouth. Her wardrobe often consisted of jeans, t-shirts, layered tank-tops, and sweaters. She was a very simple girl, but the simplicity made her seem even more beautiful. In school she was the center of attention with all of the students, the guys wanted a chance to take her on at least one date, or if they were lucky even be her boyfriend. The girls all wanted to befriend her, or be like her. Needless to say, she held the majority of the popularity in her school.

One bright and sunny Saturday morning, Tesla woke up to her Mom bringing her a cup of her favorite, Vanilla Chai tea. She thanked her mother and sat up to drink it. It was a normal morning for her, every morning at around eight, her mom would wake her to a cup of tea, her chihuahua, Matia, would lay at the foot of the bed still sound asleep, and her radio would still be playing the soft music that it had been the night before, when she had fallen asleep. The curtains were drawn back so the sun shone through, flooding her room with an orange-yellow glow. This particular morning, though, something seemed different. It was not, however, anything to do with her regular morning ritual, it had to do with what she was feeling inside. She could not understand what she was feeling, but something was telling her that today would be a great day to explore.

After finishing up her tea, she went downstairs to help her mom finish making the pancakes. She watched carefully as the thick stream of pancake batter poured from the bowl onto the hot frying pan. Her mother would flip each pancake once, in order to thoroughly cook each side, then put them on a plate where Tesla would transfer them to the table. When there was one pancake left, Tesla opened the fridge and pulled out the syrup, butter, and jam, then put them on the table. The dishes and cutlery had already been placed. Her mom finished up the last pancake and brought it over to the table and sat down across from Tesla. "So honey, how was your sleep?" Tesla's mom asked. "Good, yours?" "Fine. What are you going to do today?" "I think I am going to go exploring, with Matia." Tesla answered. "Oh that sounds fun." her mom said, and they ate the rest of their breakfast in silence.

When breakfast was over, and they had finished washing, drying, and putting away all the dishes, Tesla ran upstairs to her bedroom. Matia was just waking up when Tesla walked into the room, and laid on the bed for a while, watching Tesla throw on some clothes, and then some shoes. This got Matia's tail wagging, wherever Tesla went, she always brought along Matia. Tesla reached into Matia's own personal drawer, and pulled out her leash and booties. She carefully slipped a bootie on each of Matia's feet, then clipped her leash on, and they left.

They walked down the drive way and up the street a little bit. Tesla lived in a busy part of the city. Buses and cars, trucks and vans, all whizzed past the two as they sauntered on down the street. Tesla was looking around, wondering where to go, when she noticed what looked like a trail on the other side of the street. Why that's funny, she thought, of all the years we've lived in this house and I've never noticed that. She walked up to the crosswalk, crossed the street, then headed for the trail. It seemed to be a some-what narrow path, so she picked up Matia, and walked in. There were tree branches hanging low, and bushes covering the path. Tesla checked her pocket to make sure she had her cell phone with her. After confirming so, she continued up the path, for about three minutes straight, the path was quite narrow and grown-over, but after that, it opened up into a bit of a wider path, enough that she could put Matia down to walk herself. The bushes didn't seem so grown over at this part of the trail. She looked around, fearing that there may be a weird person, or animal, hiding in the bushes or trees. Telling herself she was the only one there, Tesla continued down the path for another five minutes. The whole time she had been looking down to make sure she doesn't trip over anything, or accidentally wander off the path, when she finally looked up, there was a gorgeous waterfall a short distance away. It wasn't tall or even run into a notice-able stream, but it was beautiful. The trees opened up around it, allowing for the sunlight to trickle in over the water creating a gorgeous view. The water almost seemed to sparkle, as it ran down into the base, and probably out of an underground stream. The water was so blue, and so clean looking. Tesla walked closer to it, watching it carefully and looking it over from top to bottom. It looked as though it could fit in a dream or an imaginary world. As she got closer she found a rock to sit on, that sat right next to the bed of water. She took off her shoes, rolled up her pants, and dipped her toes into the water. The water was cold, but not freezing, it made her feet tingle a bit, but she didn't remove them.

She sat there for a while, at least fifteen minutes, before she noticed that someone, or something, was watching her. She finally noticed when something had moved in the bushes. "Who, whose there?" "No one!" a voice shouted. "Smart move dumb ass." said another voice. The bush rustled a little more, and out walked a short brown-haired boy. His gorgeous green eyes really took Tesla by surprise, she couldn't help but stare in awe. "You idiot" the other one said, walking out of the bush. The guy was 6 feet tall, at least, with the same gorgeous green eyes, except he had a lighter shade of hair, and it was shaggier than the other boys hair. She stepped back a bit, and Matia growled, attempting to defend her master. "Who are you?" she asked, studying the two boys as they stood next to each other a few feet away from her. "I am Toni, and I'm 17 years old" the tall one said. "I'm Austin, I'm 14." the short one said. "We're um, visiting..." Toni said, making it sound rather unconvincing. "Well, actually, we live here." Austin said. "Live here?" Tesla asked, gawking at the two boys. "Well," Toni started. "you see, how can I put this?" he asked himself, looking down at the ground. "Basically, you are not in the world you thought you were in, the trail you followed here, it was not an ordinary trail. You unknowingly passed through a vortex, transforming you from your world, to ours." Toni carefully said, looking at her, worried he might give her a heart attack. Tesla laughed, which took both Toni and Austin by surprise. "You mean to tell me, that that trail led me into some different world, and you two don't technically live on the planet we call Earth? Ha! Yeah, okay then, creeps." Tesla said, walking towards where the trail where she had stepped out of a few minutes before. "Wait," Austin said. "you can't go back that easily." he finished. "What do you mean? I walked out of that trail, and ended up here, I can just as easily walk back through the trail and out, I'm going home, good bye." she said, beginning to walk down the trail. Toni and Austin followed a few short feet behind her. "Why are you following me?" she asked, quickening her pace. The boys remained silent, and quickened their pace to match hers. "Slow down." Austin said. "Why should I?" Tesla asked. Just then, almost as if on cue, the ground broke into a black hole. Toni quickly grabbed Tesla by the arm to stop her from falling. "I told you to slow down.." Austin noted, carefully looking at her and Toni. Toni pulled her back up and placed her on her feet, it seemed like an easy task for him, as if she were a feather floating through the air. "Thank you." she said, dusting herself off, while still clutching to Matia. Matia seemed to press herself into Tesla, as if she were scared of the two boys. Who wouldn't be? Tesla sure was. "So, how do I get home?" she asked, staring at the hole. The fact that she could only see a tiny circle of what seemed to be the "bottom" made Tesla dizzy, so she propped herself up against a tree and watched the two boys. "Well, its not a very simple task, I wish we could have stopped you earlier in the trail, but we had no clue you were even here until we came towards the water fall and smelt your scent in the air. So we hid, you weren't supposed to know we were around, but I guess you 'discovered' us." said Toni. "I see." was all Tesla could say. "Come with us, we will go back to our house, you can stay with us until we find you a way home, okay?" Austin said, heading up the trail. Toni looked after him as if he had just invited a disease over to the house, but then happily looked over at Tesla. Tesla just glared and walked past him, Matia looked over her shoulder at Toni. "Fiesty." Toni muttered to himself. "Pardon me?" Tesla asked in a rather rude tone. "Oh, nothing, nevermind, just talking to myself." "Yeah, okay then." Tesla said, speeding up a bit to catch up with Austin.

Their house wasn't very far up the trail, in fact, after about a ten minute walked, you were in this city sort of setting. Well, it seemed to be a city, but nothing looked like your average city on earth. She followed a few short steps behind Austin, "how much longer?" she asked, looking at her phone. "Three more houses." Toni replied. "Alright. Crap, no service." "No shit sherlock, you aren't in your own time, remember?" "Oh right." Tesla said, looking at the ground a bit embarrassed. She shoved her phone back in her pocket. "So if I'm going to be here for a few days, we're going to need dog food for Matia, and I'm going to need clothes, I can't continuously wear the same thing, you know!" Tesla said, looking over at Toni, and the up towards Austin. They turned into a driveway. The house was a bit smaller than all of the rest she had seen, but had a very home-like feeling to it. There was a little flower-garden under a large window on the right hand side of the house. The big red door looked very welcoming, Austin opened it and walked in first, then Tesla, then Toni. The sound of the door shutting behind her caught her off guard and caused her to jump forward a little bit. "Oh, sorry." Toni said, smiling, showing off a gorgeous, cheesy smile. "It's alright." Tesla said, returning the smile. They held each others gaze for a fraction of a second, until Austin interrupted, "I'll show you around quickly, just so you have an idea of where everything is." he said. "Okay." she replied, following him through an arch-way. "This is the living room and dinning room area, and as you can see, thats the kitchen." he said. "Do you want to see upstairs? There are only bedrooms and a bathroom up there," Toni said, pointing towards the staircase that was on the other side of the main entrance. "Um, yeah sure." Tesla said, carefully following him towards it. They walked up the stairs, there was a tiny rectangular-shaped "hallway" type thing, to the right and left were doors that obviously led to bedrooms, because the one directly in front of them led to the bathroom. "That's Austins room," Toni said pointing to the door on the left "and that's mine." he said, pointing to the door on the right. "Where do your parents live?" "In this timing of the world, parents leave children when they turn ten years old." "Ten? Why so young?" "Because they teach us everything we need to know by the age of ten, and then they go off to finish their lives happily, without the stress of having teenagers in the house." "I see." she said, taking a peek into each of the rooms. "So where will I be sleeping?" Tesla asked. "Well, there is the couch downstairs, or we can get you a bed up here in one of our rooms, or we could get a new house." "New house?!" Tesla looked at him like he was crazy. "Well you see, here we go by trade, not money. This house is worth one a little bit bigger, just with three bedrooms, instead of two. It wouldn't be that hard, we could have it done by tonight, if you want to, I know a married couple whose two children just moved out, they have been trying to talk us into taking their three bedroom home, and they'd take this one." Tesla just looked at him. "Okay, I'll give them a call." "You don't have to do that for me, I won't be here for long, I have to go home at one point or another." "Should we tell her?" Toni asked Austin. "I think so." "Tell me what?" Tesla asked. "Well, you see, when you come into this time period, quite often, you don't get out. They haven't solved a way. And none of your friends or family can be contacted, there is a 'duplicate' of you playing the role of your life on earth, so your friends and family wont even know you're gone, but you'll be living here." "What? I'll never see them again?" "Nope, but every once in a while, the phone some times will pick up the call, so instead of your duplicate answering, you will, but you mustn't tell them about this." "Why not?" "Well, then you'd have to pay consequences, either they would get brainwashed, and wouldn't remember you, or we'd have to destroy the planet earth, or at least that person. We can't have them knowing about us, or they will screw up our society with science, damn earthlings." "Why do you keep calling it 'earth' and them 'earthlings' we are still on earth, just in a different time frame, am I right?" "Basically, but we like to look at ourselves as a more advanced society than yours. You'll soon understand why." "Okay.." Tesla said, heading back down the stairs. "What do you guys have to drink around here?" "Watch this," Austin said, clicking a few buttons on a machine. "Okay, heres your catalogue, pick out whatever you'd like." "What?" Tesla said, looking confused. "Just touch right there, and pull the little scroll thing down, when you've found a drink you'd like, click on it." "Okay," Tesla said, scrolling down. "Is there a search thing, so I don't have to look through them all?" "Yeah, right here, just type it in." Toni said, pointing to a place on the screen. "Okay, thanks." Tesla said, typing in "Vanilla Chai" tea. The option popped up and she clicked it, within thirty seconds there was a steaming hot cup of tea ready to be taken off the shelf. "Wow, thats amazing." Tesla commented, heading into the living room.

more to come!
